Mr. Serge Boheme has been an Associate attorney with Polatsek, Counsellors At Law, since 2002. Mr. Boheme has been licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of the State of Florida since 2002. He also was admitted to practice law in the State of Tennessee.
Mr. Boheme is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida and the U.S. District Court, Western District of Tennessee.
Mr. Boheme earned his Bachelor’s degree cum laude from Memphis State University (now the University of Memphis) in 1994 and was awarded his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Memphis in 1998.
Although born in Missouri, Mr. Boheme was raised in Costa Rica and is fluent in Spanish.
Since joining Polatsek, Counsellors at Law, Mr. Boheme has practiced extensively in the preparation and processing of work related nonimmigrant (temporary) visas, including Professional employment visas (H-1B), Multinational Executive / Manager / Specialized Knowledge employee transfer visas (L-1 visas), Treaty Trader and Investor visas (E-1 and E-2 visas), Extraordinary Ability visas (O visas) International Recognition visas ( P visas), etc.
Mr. Boheme also has experience in processing every stage of employment and family based immigrant (permanent) visa cases including Labor Certifications (PERM), Multinational Executive / Manager Transfer and Extraordinary Ability petitions, and has extensive experience dealing with deportation and removal proceedings before the U.S. Immigration Court.
Prior to joining Polatsek, Counsellors At Law, Mr. Boheme worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the District Attorney’s Office of Shelby County, Tennessee. His duties included prosecuting criminal matters before the General Sessions courts. In this capacity Mr. Boheme conducted multiple arraignments, bench trials, jury trials, bond hearings, preliminary (probable cause) hearings, motions to dismiss, motions to suppress, etc.
